17-48 Melfield Gardens

• The operation of the residential parking follows a typical ‘right to park’ system operated on many developments. This is explained below: Residents ▪ Residents need to request a ‘right to park’ to provide access to a parking space within Melfield Gardens. Their allocation is prioritised for existing and disabled residents. ▪ The ‘right to park’ is limited to a maximum of one vehicle per dwelling. ▪ Residents can transfer their permit between vehicles This will only allow the vehicle displaying the permit to park within the car park without further penalties being incurred. ▪ It will not be acceptable for the resident to sub-let their ‘right to park’. ▪ Should a resident no longer require their ‘right to park’ this can be returned to the site management and ‘pooled’ for use by a future resident of the development as necessary. ▪ Occasional roadworthy vehicle checks (Tax/MOT) will be undertaken of vehicles within the car park to avoid vehicles being abandoned within the car park. If there are, these will be removed. These checks will be carried out manually. ▪ Subject to a significant number of resident’s car parking spaces becoming surplus to resident’s demand, consideration may be given towards potential repurposing of these spaces. However, this would be subject to any necessary planning considerations that would be required. Visitors/temporary car parking Parking for ad-hoc visitors to the residential properties will require the resident to obtain a visitor permit. For longer term residential visitors temporary parking permits, subject to availability, may be obtained through the site management office. These temporary permits will be time limited and wholly discretionary by the on-site management team. It would also be based on the availability of spaces and the intended duration of use.
